Tuesday, March 11

Today was a bonum tempus (good time)!!!!!  We started off the day in Cafe Ciao Bella with a classic Italian meal. After that we took a walk down to the Trevi fountain. After this we went on a city wide walk exploring the Roman Fora. or forums. At 3:30, we were finally admitted into the colloseum. We stayed so long in this interesting place that security kicked us out because it was closing! Let’s end with some Bob Dylan translated into Latin: Viae Romae saxis impletae sunt, Antiqua vestigium ubique sunt. This means “Oh streets of Rome are filled with trouble / Ancient footprints are everywhere…”

Eric was telling us great stories on the history of the “Spanish Steps” which were actually built by the French. This surprised Victor!

Everyone is eagerly awaiting lunch!

  1. It is wonderful to see that you are all having fun in Rome, these are lovely pictures, keep warm, stay safe, and by the time you come home, hopefully the weather here will be much better than when you left.
